Lena Dunham is the Kanye West of feminist celebrity trash. I swear she just says stupid shit to keep people talking about her in an attempt to remain relevant. I use the word “remain” loosely since she hasn’t really done anything since the unwatchable HBO series, “girls” (which was the closest thing to an abortion she’s had) aired and died due to what I assume to be an over abundance of unfunny.
During an episode of her presumably unlistenable podcast which I assume nobody knew even existed until now (which supports my aforementioned “relevance” theory), she said this:
But one day, when I was visiting a Planned Parenthood in Texas a few years ago, a young girl walked up to me and asked me if I’d like to be a part of her project in which women share their stories of abortions. I sort of jumped. ‘I haven’t had an abortion,’ I told her. I wanted to make it really clear to her that as much as I was going out and fighting for other women’s options, I myself had never had an abortion. And I realized then that even I was carrying within myself stigma around this issue,” Dunham continued. “Even I, the woman who cares as much as anybody about a woman’s right to choose, felt it was important that people know I was unblemished in this department. In the end, her mother and her friends’ abortions persuaded her to change. So many people I love – my mother, my best friends – have had to have abortions for all kinds of reasons,” Dunham said. “I feel so proud of them for their bravery, for their self-knowledge, and it was a really important moment for me then to realize I had internalized some of what society was throwing at us and I had to put it in the garbage.”
To do that, Dunham concluded: “Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.”
Leftists have always advocated “women’s right to choose” and demanded the right to have abortions after situations like rape, incest, or the general inconvenience of being pregnant (which isn’t selfish in the least bit), but it hadn’t been until recent that people started bragging about it like it’s some kind of accomplishment validating their feminism. The “party of science” claims that the baby is actually just a lump of flesh and regardless of reflexes, growth, and a heartbeat, life doesn’t start until consciousness, even though that theory isn’t backed by a shred of science. Elizabeth Banks from “The Hunger Games, and Pitch Perfect 2“, Amy Brennan from HBO’s “The Leftovers“, Bellamy Young from who gives a shit, and several other women whose opinions matter more than yours because they’re celebrities have all publicly come out saying overly positive things about abortion. I find this to be pretty distasteful, but not quite as absurd as the comments made by radical leftist, Lena Dunham, the slob who bragged about molesting her baby sister (yes, really; maybe we shouldn’t be surprised by the shit that comes out of her mouth at this point).
