Outspoken liberal film director and notoriously obese, Michael Moore, spent most of last nights first presidential debate hurling angry tweets at republican nominee, Donald Trump. He accused Trump of lying, sexism and even being sick, but at the end he actually said the first semi-coherent thing of his entire life. He admitted that Trump had in fact, “won” the debate.

While this may come as a surprise to most of you, it’s actually consistent with comments Moore has been making all throughout the presidential campaign.

Not long after Trump accepted the republican nomination, Moore appeared on ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ and reluctantly, but confidently predicted a Trump win.
“One of the things I’ve been concerned about this week is that we’re all sitting … in our bubble, having a good laugh at this total shit show, but the truth is, I’m sorry to have to be the buzzkill here so early on, but I think Trump is going to win,”

I’m inclined to agree with the fat liberal slob this one time. Being a staunch critic of Trump and his proposed policies, I was able to watch the debate from somewhat of an objective standpoint. I watched as moderator, Lester Holt drilled Trump with over a dozen hard hitting questions while only asking Hillary one or two. Holt even jumped in several times to fact-check” Trump while not once doing it to Hillary (who happens to be the biggest liar in the history of politics). Fact checking has never been something a moderator is expected to do. The cards were most certainly stacked against the Donald.

Given the circumstances, Trump did fairly well in my opinion. He stayed focused and attacked Hillary on her weaknesses like the emails and her failed foreign policy. At the end he capped it off with this:

Pound for pound, blow for blow, I think Hillary may have actually, technically won the debate, but not by enough, and Trump didn’t fly off the handle, so we’ll likely see him surge in the polls, making him last nights real winner. And it’s super legit because even The Godfather of Bullshit, Michael Moore said so.
